A soldier died on Friday, December 1 after an accident during operational training, announced the Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, this Saturday, December 2 on X (formerly Twitter). He belonged to the Parachute Artillery Regiment.
“I learned with sadness of the death of Brigadier General Hervé Servius of the 35th RAP, who died yesterday after a long hospitalization following an accident that occurred during operational training,” writes the government member.

The minister expressed “all (his) support and (his) deepest condolences to his family and his brothers in arms.”
Created in 1873, the 35th Parachute Artillery Regiment is a regiment specialized in parachute artillery and the integration of fires of all types. It is based in Tarbes, in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
