According to a statement released today, the initiative dubbed “Building the Alternative” will begin on Friday and end on Wednesday of next week, with sessions scheduled in all districts of the country.
The initiative will be inaugurated on Friday by the First Vice President and MEP, Paulo Rangel, in Vila Real, and the PSD President, Luís Montenegro, will participate in a session in Viseu on Saturday.
Vice-Presidents Miguel Pinto Luz, Margarida Balseiro Lopes, António Leitão Amaro, Paulo Cunha and Inês Ramalho will also participate in the various initiatives announced, alongside Secretary General Hugo Soares and Parliamentary Leader Joaquim Miranda Sarmento.
The ‘Construir a Alternativa’ initiative, which also includes the participation of district leaders, is part of the discussion on the state budget for 2023 and aims to discuss with the militants the shortcomings of this budget and the alternative proposals of the PSD the party said in a statement released today.
After general approval, the government’s proposal for next year’s state budget will be discussed in detail in parliament and the final general vote is scheduled for November 25.
