The campaign for the presidency of the Les Républicins party (LR) has just taken a turning point? Until now, Bruno Retilleau, candidate against Laurent Wauquiez, had not distinguished himself by a particularly offensive tone, leaving the initiative to his opponent that is presented in “Challenger” and the objective for several weeks in his freedom of expression as Minister of the Interior or the alleged difficulty of having results in this government in the Macronista-Lr sauce.
The head of the Beauvau place was more scathing this Wednesday, March 12 in RTL. At the beginning of the interview, he promises: “The more I will end, the more we try to destabilize myself, the more I will be Zen and a good comrade.” But, after having defended its results, it ends up leaving: “Little hides me. The dogs bark, the caravan passes.”
“I think it was an unhappy prayer and I am sure he regrets it,” said Laurent Wauquiez at night during a public meeting in Provins (Sena-Et-Marne).
“We are not opponents”
In an election in which neither of the two impetrators wants to assume the responsibility of a “boss war” in the Copé-Fillon or the Balladur-Chirac, the head of the deputies LR plays the correct student: “We are not adversaries. We should not have an attack, there are no sentences with words that can be harmful.”
For the rest, the former head of the Auverne-Rhône-Alpes region remains in his strategy, once again pointing to the freedom of expression of Bruno Retailleau through the Algerian Archive, while the tensions have been avoiding between Algiers and Paris in recent months.
Reproach Emmanuel Macron for refusing to denounce the 1968 agreement with Algeria, which grants a particular status to Algerians in France in terms of traffic, stay and employment, asks otherwise. A way to demonstrate his “freedom of expression”, not trained by any solidarity of the government.
