Laurent Wauquiez said that he will never vote in favor of a budget “that offers an increase in taxes”, Sunday, April 27, three weeks since the first round of the election of the President of the Republican Party to whom he is a candidate against Bruno Retailleau, the Interior Minister.
“I am against the increases in taxes against France that work, against increases in taxes against France that worked all their lives,” said Puy-en-Velay in BFMTV before specifying his thinking.
“I will never vote for a budget that offers an increase in taxes. If the government of François Bayrou persists in wanting to increase taxes (…), we will have a debate with the appropriate republican group to make the issue of participation in the government,” added Laurent Wauquiez.
In other words, “being in the government to support a budget that increases taxes is unacceptable,” he said, relaunched in the current presence of his opponent to Beauvau’s head.
At the same time, the deputy asks the minister to train with him “a duo, not a duel.” One way to emphasize that, according to him, Bruno Retailleau is avoided by his governmental function of acting on certain issues in which “François Bayrou does not have the determination to move forward.”
