The man arrested for driving his car through the crowd on Saturday, April 26 in Vancouver, in western Canada, suffered problems related to his mental health, a police officer said on Sunday, who raised the human record in 11 dead.
“The person we have in police custody has an important history of interactions, with the police and the caregivers, linked to mental health,” said Steve Rai, of the Vancouver Police during a press conference, and added that “the elements of this file do not lead us to think that it is an act of terrorism.”
