The Government accused this Tuesday, June 10, a rebel France of “preventing work” to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after arrest by the Israeli passenger authorities in Madleen’s humanitarian boat that was heading to the Gaza Strip.
“45,000 emails were sent after their requests that completely wrapped our crisis services,” launched the minister responsible for foreign trade in the hemicycle, Laurent Saint-Martin, to deputy LFI Sophia Chikirou.
“Our services cannot work”
To obtain the release of the six members of the French nationals of the “Flutilla of the Liberté”, including the Eurodiputada LFI Rima Hassan, several figures of the rebel France had shared on their social networks a link to a platform that allowed to challenge, by email, the French authorities.
“You should have been ashamed because during this time our services cannot work on the protection of our nationals,” Minister Laurent Saint-Martin accused.
“You unacceptably slandered our diplomacy and its agents. Satures the Crisis Center and the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” also launched Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, responding to Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
The leader of LFI accused the French consulate on the same social network of having “expected so many hours” to meet the French passengers arrested by the Israeli authorities of Gaza.
“France has done its job,” said Laurent Saint-Martin in the National Assembly, accusing LFI of wanting to make “the hum.”
“France has maintained the permanent link with the Israeli authorities and has done its consular presence work, which means that the six nationals were in contact with our consul (…) All families have been contacted thanks to the staff of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs that you denounced and prevents it from working,” he insisted.
