Israel-Iran conflict: Emmanuel Macron judges that the strike against Evin prison “in danger the life of civilians”

Israel has launched attacks on Tehran attacking the famous Evin prison in particular. This strike “does not reduce the Iranian nuclear program in any way,” said Emmanuel Macron.

During a press conference in Oslo, the French president, Emmanuel Macron, said on Monday, June 23 on Monday, June 23 that the Israeli strike against Evin prison in Tehran had “nothing to do” with the “objectives shown” of destruction of the Iranian nuclear and “civil” nuclear program “in danger”, including two “French hostages.”

“I think it has nothing to do with the objectives that are officially shown, it does not reduce the Iranian nuclear program in any way and the lives of Iranian and foreign civilians have in danger,” he added.

“Iranian Foreign Minister could interact with our Foreign Minister and assured him that our two hostages had not been affected,” said Emmanuel Macron, referring to Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris, owned by Tehran for three years.

Israel’s attacks “cause great suffering”

At the same time, Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot considered “unacceptable” the Israeli strike in an X message.

“Cécile and Jacques would not have been affected by the damage caused on the spot,” added the Chief of French diplomacy, who “asked for his news and immediate release to the Iranian approval.

Two days after the US intervention against three nuclear sites, Emmanuel Macron said that “there is no legality framework for these attacks,” which guarantees, however, that France “shares the objective of not seeing Iran acquire nuclear weapons.” “It is for the diplomatic and technical route that can be done,” he reaffirmed.

Israel has announced that he had carried out air attacks “unprecedented” by attacking the guards of the revolution, as well as the Iranian prison.

Israeli attacks in Iran “cause great suffering,” UN experts said, particularly concerned with detained prisoners near bombarded sites after the Israeli strike in this prison.

In a statement, the independent international mission of establishing facts about Iran and the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the country asks all parties to “respect international law and protect civilians.”
