Municipal elections in Marseille

The next municipal elections will take place everywhere in France in March 2026. In Marseille, in recent years they have been marked by a series of transformations for the city, especially within the framework of the “Marseille in Grand” plan, piloted with the State. The great challenges persist, in this city, always affected by poor homes, social inequalities and drug trafficking. At the polls, a duel takes shape between the outgoing mayor Benoît Payan (DVG) and Martine Vassal (DVD), although neither of them is officially candidate. On the left, the possible entry of deputy Sébastien Delogu (LFI) could re -draw the alliances, while the right end, deputy Rn Franck Allisio has already launched his campaign, taking advantage of the progression of his group in the city of Marseille. Other personalities are intended to weigh on the campaign, this is the case of Sabrina Aggi-Rouche, former Secretary of State in charge of the city and citizenship.
