Three deputies of the National Assembly are forced to resign after being declared not eligible by the Constitutional Council

Three deputies, Jean Laussuc, Stéphane Vojetta (both EPR, the macronista party) and Brigitte Barèges (UDR, Eric Ciotti’s party allied to the RN) were declared ineligible by the Constitutional Council on Friday, which rejected their campaign accounts.

Jean Laussucq, deputy of Paris, Brigitte Barèges, deputy of Tarn-Et-Garonne, and Stéphane Vojetta, deputy of the French established outside of France, were declared inelegable “for a period of one year” and “renouncing the position” of their mandates, announced the Constitutional Council. Consequently, partial legislative elections must be organized soon.
