They are the first migrants from the Ocean Viking to be escorted back.

In response to Gérald Darmanin’s response, the deputy Mathilde Paris had denounced from the seats of the Assembly the “fiasco” of the Ocean Viking, after the release of many migrants by court order from the Giens waiting room.

“It’s time to regain control,” said the particular deputy.

“We need to change the law”

“I am very surprised by the deputies who call themselves nationals or patriots that you are attacking the government instead of your Italian friends, and that in the end you are very internationalist,” Gérald Darmanin responded first, referring to the refusal. to Rome to house the Ocean Viking, as predisposed by international law.

The Minister of the Interior added that “the law must be changed, and that is precisely what we are going to do in the immigration law.”
