“Bravo, well done and well done.” After the partial censorship of the Duplom Law by the Constitutional Council this Thursday, August 7, in particular in the reintroduction under the conditions of a prohibited pesticide, the student at the origin of the record of the record against the text praised the commitment of the French citizens.
“There are no small victories,” writes Eléonore Pattery on LinkedIn. “There will always be things to say, we are far from an ideal world, but … we approach!”
The 23 -year -old student, who plans to work on environmental health and collective responsibility, had written a petition on July 10 to oppose the Dupber Law. Two days before, Parliament had just adopted the text despite a fierce opposition of several groups and associations.
An incredible mobilization “
Like many scientists and activists, Eléonore Pattery denounced a “scientific, ethical, environmental and health aberration.” The petition will finally be signed by more than 2.1 million people at the National Assembly site, a mobilization record.
In question, in particular, the reintroduction provided by the Acetamipride Law, a very toxic insecticide since 2018 for bees, but also the facilitation of intensive agriculture and water storage.
If the Constitutional Council has not completely repealed the text as the petition was initially requested, it decided to censor “the provisions that authorize to repeal the prohibition of using phytopharmaceutical products that contain neonicotinoids.” It also evokes “reservations” in Mega-Basinos
“Thank you for this incredible mobilization,” the author of the petition still wrote this Thursday. “Thanks to all those who dared to say no! Even having thought alone … it is important.”
Eléonore Pattery, who had refused everyone in the media, also insists, as he had done at the end of his request, about the important “the voice of the people” and his legitimacy about the decisions made by politicians.
