Emmanuel Macron announces “an online consultation” by the French to launch the CNR

The president calls for “online debates that can be open” and that “deserve transparency.” It is not the first time that the Head of State has taken this direction.

Scoring with a strong initiative. Emmanuel Macron announced at the launch of the National Council for Refoundation an “online” consultation.

“We are going to open a very broad national consultation next week, which will be online, which will be open”, launched the president of Marcoussis to open the creation of this new body that he conceives as “a democratic initiative”.

Online contributions that deserve “transparency”

This great consultation must come to “complete the meeting” this Thursday and its territorial variants. A dedicated CNR site should also be launched.

“I want there to be discussions on the ground that can be online, that can be open. All of this deserves transparency, openness”, added the tenant of the Elysee.

This is not the first time that Emmanuel Macron has made this type of announcement. Notebooks of grievances had been made available to the public, in the midst of the Yellow Vests movement, coupled with the device of the Great Debate in 2019.

“A Trick” for LFI

This online consultation leaves Mathilde Panot, the leader of the La France Insoumise deputies in the National Assembly, skeptical.

“Macron is doing the trick of a ‘great consultation’ online. Entourloupe bis or little memory?” Asks the deputy on her Twitter account, regretting that the government has not seized the online contributions.
