On the second day of budget voting, the PS allowed 25 proposals from other parties, with the PAN being the one that received the most approval, in a journey marked by the IL’s debut to take action.
The PAN got the green light for 14 proposals to amend the state budget for 2023 (OE2023), in the votes that took place this Tuesday in the Budget and Finance Committee in parliament, ending with the usual corrections to the vote, which ended in favor of changing of the fate of some proposals as a result of the PS amendment.
Second on the podium was Livre, with eight proposals made possible, while the former partners of the thing BE and PCP had zero this Tuesday.
IL, on the other hand, made its debut and managed to pass two measures: anticipating the calendar for publishing the competition for access to higher education and defining the conditions and criteria of the deposit system for reusable packaging .
The PSD, in turn, saw only one proposal pass, which states that public contracts due to major fires, despite being exempt from pre-inspection, must be sent to the Court within 30 days.
Chega is now the only party without an approved proposal.
Measures approved by the PAN include, among others, the extension of access to the social energy tariff for households whose total annual income is equal to or less than EUR 6,272 and the maintenance in 2023 of the incentive to introduce low-emission vehicles into consumption, extended to electric bicycles and motorcycles.
The sole deputy Inês Sousa Real also saw a further million euros spent on wildlife sanctuaries and the expansion of the carbon tax on private jets from July next year.
Livre’s proposals include the promotion and protection of the Mirandese language and the white paper on sex work and prostitution.
The only deputy Rui Tavares also included in the budget the 100% co-payment of the vaccine for children allergic to cow’s milk and allowed the submission to be verified in the Portal da Queixa through the digital signature, using the citizen card.
Despite these 25 approvals, of the approximately 600 proposals that appeared in this Tuesday’s ballot script, the majority were rejected, including the PCP measure to end the so-called golden visa regime and BE, which provided for the establishment of a limit on the variation of the effort rate in mortgage loans.
Unsurprisingly, the only party that passed all the proposals was the PS, thanks to an absolute majority, of which it is worth noting that displaced scholarship students who have failed to find a place in residences of social action services will be entitled to a reinforcement of accommodation bonus.
The PS also approved the extension, until the end of 2023, of the suspension of the permit for new registrations of local housing in containment areas, if the deadline expires in the course of the following year, and the evaluation of the possibility of SNS supplying removable dentures .
On the first day, the PS had already approved nine amendments from other parties.
