LR to the left of the left and the RN. In a statement, signed by its president Bruno Retailleau, the Republicans announced on Tuesday, August 26 that they will not vote against François Bayrou during the vote of confidence that he will seek before the National Assembly on September 8.
“We entered the government to avoid chaos and the far left, it would be irresponsible to precipitate the country in an important financial crisis whose consequences would first reach the most fragile,” wrote the head of the Brunoinleau party in a press release.
“Voting for the fall of the government would be to vote against the interests of France,” said Interior Minister.
Retailleau begs “righteous” efforts
“This vote does not mean, however, that all the budgetary measures proposed by François Bayrou agrees. The France of honest people cannot consent to the new efforts that, with the condition that these are fair,” the press release kills.
The party “in the next days serious and daring proposals” and will bring “the voice of truth and responsibility,” he said.
The left, from LFI to the PS, as well as the national demonstration, said they would vote against the confidence in the government of François Bayrou, whose days at the head of the Executive are counted.
