A difficult birth. Emmanuel Macron inaugurates the National Council for Refoundation (CNR) on Thursday, intended as a tool for “democratic renewal”, but already questioned and even boycotted by the opposition.
The Head of State will open the inaugural session at 9:30 a.m. in Marcoussis, in Essonne, with the presence of some fifty participants who represent “the living forces of the Nation” in the social, economic, political, associative, health and environmental. .
Among them, we find in particular the head of the CFDT Laurent Berger, that of Medef Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, that of the CPME François Asselin, but also representatives of the main associations of elected officials, NGO leaders and a dozen ministers.
A meeting chaired by Elisabeth Borne
After the speech by the Head of State, the participants will set out their expectations and priorities, in a “long and very open dialogue”, after brief presentations by the President of the High Council for Climate, Corinne Le Quéré, and the First President of the Court of Auditors , Pierre Moscovici and the Governor of the Banque de France, François Villeroy de Galhau.
Five main topics of debate have been listed: full employment, school, health, “aging well” and ecological transition. In the afternoon, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne will chair a meeting to determine the projects and establish their long-term implementation.
This opening day is supposed to precede the launch of the various projects towards the end of September, to see the first concrete results before the end of 2022.
