The Head of State exchanged Friday with the president of the Palestinian authority, Mahmoud Abbas, who again indicated that he will recognize the state of Palestine on Monday in New York.
After talking with the president of the Palestinian authority Mahmoud Abbas, Emmanuel Macron reiterates this Friday, September 19, his “intention to recognize the state of Palestine on Monday in New York.”
“This recognition is part of a complete peace plan for the region, with the aim of responding to the aspirations for the security and peace of the Israelis, as well as the Palestinians,” writes the French president. The latter also “recalled (their) requirements regarding the Palestinian authority”, evoking “the necessary reforms to renew Palestinian governance and respond to the stabilization problems of the future Palestinian state.”
