BFMTV Information. Medef qualifies Busgs PS’s proposals as “dangerous”, Boris Vallaud offers them a “public debate”

Socialist deputies Boris Vallaud offer Patrick Martin, president of Medef this Wednesday, a “public debate” on socialist budgetary proposals.

Patrick Martin, president of Medef, is categorical: the budget proposed by the Socialist Party is “dangerous.” That is why Boris Vallaud, leader of the deputies of PS, offers him in a letter “a public debate” this Wednesday, September 24.

“I know your attachment to the Republican dialogue and the debate of ideas. This is the reason why I propose that we can publicly discuss these issues, the socialist proposals that you dispute,” explains the socialist deputy.

The latter explains that, “for the socialists, support for the national economic fabric (…), the reindustrialization of our country as investments of the future, are serious issues.”

A “Great Meeting” of Medef on October 13

Among the measures proposed by the Socialists is a strengthening of the easiest taxes. If you do not deny the need to reduce the budget deficit, the PS disputes the rhythm of decrease proposed by macronists. The former prime minister, François Bayrou, wanted to bring the effort to 44 billion euros in savings for the 2026 budget. But the socialists want to extend it until 2032, a “credible for the markets” without producing “recessive shock for the French.”

For its part, the Medef, received before during the day by Sébastien Lecornu in Matignon, announced the celebration of a “great meeting” that will take place on October 13 in Paris. “The debate (on public finances) is advanced by some, who saturate the waves in the super rich, etc.”, deplored Patrick Martin, referring to Zucman’s tax, which would consist of imposing the rich -rich heritage at 2% per year.

In addition, the Socialists, who will play a crucial role in a possible fall of Sébastien Lecornu, announced on Wednesday to join the interval strike on October 2. The latter deplored that “the prime minister did not provide any clear response to the expectations of the workers”, in the words of Marylise Léon, general secretary of the CFDT.
