The president is delivering his message after very heated debates on the reinstatement of unvaccinated caregivers this Thursday night in the National Assembly.
“If scientists, doctors, caregivers tell us that it is scientifically desirable to reintegrate these caregivers, the government must do it,” declared the head of state during a trip to Dijon.
“It is not a political option”
La France insoumise, which defended this possibility, denounced the parliamentary “obstruction” of the executive that has always opposed the obligation to vaccinate caregivers during the Covid-19 crisis.
“If the scientists, the doctors, the caregivers tell us that it is scientifically desirable to reintegrate these caregivers, the government must do it,” the president assured again.
“It’s not a political choice,” he added. François Braun, the Minister of Health, for his part, showed his reluctance, noting in particular the tensions that this could create between colleagues in the hospital sector.
