A future in the hands of the PS
The two extremes of the political spectrum, RN and LFI, will not have waited, therefore, for Sébastien Lecornu’s general policy declaration, scheduled for this Tuesday afternoon, October 14, before announcing their willingness to censure this new government. But alone, these two political forces do not have enough seats in the National Assembly to determine the fate of the government.

The two moderate left partners know that they are in a position of strength against the second government of Sébastien Lecornu. Olivier Faure’s party does not hide its demand that non-censorship be guaranteed.
Towards another motion presented after the general policy statement?
The socialists, who call in particular for the suspension of the pension reform, the imposition of taxes on the highest assets and the non-use of 49.3 in the National Assembly, are awaiting the general policy statement of the former Minister of the Armed Forces before making their decision.
A maneuver confirmed by Dieynaba Diop, spokesperson for the PS, this Monday morning on Franceinfo. It also indicates that the Rose Party will present its “own motion of censure” if the DPG pronounced by Sébastien Lecornu does not meet the expectations of the socialists.

The ball is now in the court of a Prime Minister who knows that he is more fragile than ever. Left by Bruno Retailleau’s Les Républicains, who claimed to “support” the government “without participating in it”, Sébastien Lecornu must face the opposition revolt.
