Roland Lescure praises “remarkable performance” of growth “despite political upheavals”

Roland Lescure praised the “remarkable performance” of French growth, “despite political upheavals and international uncertainties.”

“Our companies invest, export and move the country forward,” underlines the Minister of Economy in a reaction sent to AFP.

France’s economic growth reached 0.5% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the previous three months, driven by exports, according to a provisional estimate from the National Statistics Institute that exceeds its initial forecast.

The “parliamentary niche” will open with a proposal to resolve the 1968 agreements with Algiers

Debates begin at 9 am in the National Assembly. The National Group chose to present as its first text a proposed resolution of the 1968 agreements between France and Algeria.

A text widely debated in recent months in the context of the Franco-Algerian crisis. And like RN, the UDR, the Republicans but also Horizons demand the end of this agreement.

Marine Le Pen regrets the slowness of the “pace of discussions”

Yesterday, Marine Le Pen spoke at a press conference and deplored the “(slow) pace of discussion” around the 2026 budget. “The debates are of good quality, that is indisputable, but we realize that a certain number of people are trying to reach ordinances,” launched the RN deputy.

Given the pace of the discussions, as reported by BFMTV, the solemn vote on the revenue side of the budget, scheduled for November 4, has also been postponed.

Texts presented “a priori” agreed upon, with a theme dear to the RN

For the third time since 2023, the deputies of the National Group have control of the agenda of the National Assembly. An opportunity for the extreme right party, which has its strategy well established.

The latter consists of presenting texts a priori agreed upon or supported by other groups, including certain topics dear to the RN. A way to pressure their opponents to vote in favor of these legislative proposals. Otherwise, the latter will have difficulties justifying their positions.
