“I’m looking for an internship”: a student calls Emmanuel Macron, the president responds by asking for his CV

Eager to complete her internship at the Presidency of the Republic, a Sciences Po student personally delivered her resume to Emmanuel Macron, while visiting him at the Forum for Peace on Wednesday, October 29.

Sometimes you have to know how to dare. In search of an internship, a Sciences Po student did not hesitate to approach Emmanuel Macron, present at the Chaillot Palace on the sidelines of a Peace Forum organized in Paris this Wednesday, October 29, as shown in a video shared on TikTok and viewed more than 2 million times.

“Mr Macron, hello,” the young woman says first to catch the attention of the head of state. Then follows a discussion between the President of the Republic and the student. “I already worked for you at the French Chamber of Commerce in Morocco, when you came last October. And listen, I’m looking for an internship,” he confesses to me bluntly.

Still no answer

Surprised by this unusual request from a head of state, Emmanuel Macron asked him in turn if he could provide him with a resume.

The student, with foresight, hands him the precious document. “You are well organized,” the president congratulates her. To which the young woman responds: “I thought of everything.”

The student then explains to Emmanuel Macron that she wants to do her six-month internship in his office, “for the economy,” she says. Contacted by Le Parisien this Thursday, October 30, the young woman said that she had not yet received a response from the Elysée about her candidacy.
