More than half of French people say they are willing to “vote for RN in the future”, according to a survey

54% of French people could vote in favor of the RN “in the future”, according to a study by Viavoice for Libération, which measures the electoral potential of the far-right party.

The extreme right at the gates of power? Nothing is certain, far from it. Although at the moment there is only one photograph left, a survey carried out by Viavoice and published by Libération this Thursday, October 30, confirms that the National Rally has the wind in its favor approximately a year and a half before the presidential elections.

“In the future”, a majority of French people would be willing to vote in favor, according to this study. In detail, 54% potentially want to introduce an RN ballot at the polls, 11 points more than in September 2023.

Better for the far-right party: 22% of the people who could elect it have never voted for it, which demonstrates a certain electoral potential, which is the purpose of this survey, which does not aim to measure voting intentions.

“Voters who have already tested Le Pen and Bardella do not regret it”

Furthermore, among those who did not want to vote for the RN (46%), only 5% had already voted in its favor, a sign that the losses are few.

“The permeability of the RN vote continues to grow and this study confirms that voters who have already tested Le Pen and Bardella do not regret it,” Adrien Broche, head of political studies at Viavoice, analyzes to Libération.

Likewise, 39% of those surveyed maintain that their opinions regarding the RN have evolved positively, compared to 37% who indicate the opposite. The situation is getting significantly worse among right-wing voters, at least among those in the Les Républicains party. Almost half (48%) responded “positively.” New proof, explains Adrien Broche, of the “important potential for progression” of nursing, which is also made up of people between 50 and 64 years old (49%).

Figures that seem to bode well for the Lepenist party, which was already able to congratulate itself this Thursday on a “historic day” by getting one of its texts approved for the first time in the National Assembly.

This survey was carried out between Friday, October 24 and Monday, October 27, with a basic sample of 1,000 people, representative of the population residing in mainland France, according to the quota method.
