The reactions multiply. After the opening of an investigation for harassment of a child under 15 years of age after Lucas’s suicide on Saturday in Golbey, in the Vosges, the Minister of Education paid tribute to the teenager on social networks.
“All my thoughts are with Lucas, a student at Louis Armand College in Golbey, his family and friends,” it begins.
In his message, the Minister also had a thought for all the students who are in a situation of bullying and showed his desire to change things.
“I am thinking of all the students like him who are bullied: their despair is the foundation of my determination to prevent all forms of bullying. No child should find suicide as the end result,” he added.
No complaints at this stage
The investigation was entrusted to the Epinal police station in order to “establish the reality of the facts denounced and the causal link with the suicide,” according to the prosecutor’s office.
Contacted by AFP, the family’s lawyer, Me Catherine Faivre, indicated that the latter had not filed a complaint “at this stage”: “We’ll see a second time. The family wants to bury their son in peace,” added the council . .
