The popularity of Emmanuel Macron and Elisabeth Borne below

According to the latest Ifop survey for the JDD, the head of state and his prime minister are losing popularity this month, partly because of their pension reform project.

65% of the French are dissatisfied with the actions of their President of the Republic, that is, 3 points more in a month, the latest Ifop poll for the Journal du Dimanche revealed on Saturday.

According to the polling institute, this is Emmanuel Macron’s lowest level of popularity since February 2020. For her part, Elisabeth Borne registers 64% dissatisfaction, compared to 59% last December.

The executive couple pays directly for the announcement of the government’s pension reform project. Last Wednesday, the “L’Opinion en direct” poll, carried out by the Elabe Institute for BFMTV, revealed that 66% of French people were opposed to the reform.

This opposition is among the first to be concerned over time by this reform: only 31% of those 50-64 years of age are satisfied with the President, according to Ifop, against 40% of those over 65, for example. Their popularity even drops 10 points between the ages of 25 and 34 to reach 29%.

Regarding the socio-professional categories, the JDD reveals that Emmanuel Macron only satisfies 23% of the unemployed, a loss of 15 points, or even 37% of executives, a loss of 14 points.
