An adviser to the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security suggested occupying the 25 de Abril Bridge in protest of housing problems in Portugal.
In an interview with the program “A Minha Geração”, op Antenna 3on Sunday, Inês Franco Alexandre assumed that she would take up the position of “assistant” to Ana Mendes Godinho and proposed this form of manifestation. “We all have to go to the 25 de Abril bridge. We camp on the bridge itself, we close the bridge, until we are heard”he claimed.
As a joke, the minister’s adviser even said that Decathlon could sponsor the demonstration by guaranteeing tents for all participants in the protest.
In the same interview, the entrepreneur and activist explained that “he always said he would never work in the ministry or he would never work in the government” but he changed his mind after realizing that “change is being made within the system”. “I have to go through this experience to understand whether this context is my cup of tea or not”he stressed.
