“Do you want my head?”: Dussopt gets angry with the Insoumis, after the photo of a balloon with his image

The Minister of Labor allowed himself to be carried away by the rebellious deputies in the National Assembly, while defending the pension reform project. He is referring to a photo of an LFI deputy holding a balloon with his image on it.

A scathing response. The Minister of Labor, Olivier Dussopt, responded this Friday in the National Assembly to the booing of the rebel deputies, in reference to a photo published on Thursday by an elected LFI in which he is seen with a balloon with the image of the minister.

“Do you want to start over? Do you want my head like your colleague’s?” annoyed the minister, addressing the LFI seats.

The rebel deputy for Seine-Saint-Denis Thomas Portes was the object of strong criticism from the majority and part of the opposition this Thursday after posting a photo on Twitter in which he is shown with his foot on a ball in front of the effigy of Olivier Dussopt.

The president of the Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, denounced in particular a “staging” that “disgraces” the rebel deputy, when the Minister for Relations with Parliament, Franck Riester, said he was “shocked”.

“Do you want to pose with my severed head too?”

“Do you want to continue with the violence? Do you want to continue with the stigmatization? Do you also want to pose with my severed head?” Olivier Dussopt launched again.

The minister, a former deputy for the Ardèche, defended in the chamber the executive pension reform project, which provides in particular for the postponement of the start of the legal retirement age from 62 to 64 years.

“Your amendments are useless”, he had just launched in the direction of the elected officials of La France insoumise, arousing the ire of Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s party. “You are useless”, replied the deputy of Loire-Atlantique Matthias Tavel.

The tweet from the deputy Thomas Portes arrives in full review of the pension reform bill in the National Assembly and on the eve of a new day of mobilization against this project to call the unions, this Saturday, February 11.
