Tensions are rising further in the National Assembly. The MoDem deputy from Haut-Rhin Bruno Fuchs criticized on Tuesday the attitude of the elected officials of the Nupes, in the framework of the debates on the pension reform. He commented in particular on the injections of certain left deputies against the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt.
“We are, in short, in a situation close to that of Samuel Paty, with an incentive to go further and ask others to commit acts contrary to the values of the Republic,” he said during a press conference. of his group in the Assembly.
“Not Just a Skid”
Bruno Fuchs reacted in particular to the statements by the LFI deputy Aurélien Saintoul, who accused Olivier Dussopt on Monday of being an “impostor” and a “murderer”, in the chamber. Qualifiers that caused a strong reaction, especially within the Nupes banks.
“This element is not just a landslide, there is a progressive construction of the Nupes,” denounced the centrist Bruno Fuchs.
If Aurélien Saintoul apologized to the minister, his output echoes the tweet of the rebel deputy Thomas Portes showing him with a balloon with the image of the Minister of Labor himself.
Reactions of rebel deputies
“For the last few months we have been witnessing a progressive deconstruction and a transgression of all republican values,” added Bruno Fuchs, expressing his “great concern.”
But the comparison of the behavior of certain elected officials of Nupes with “a situation close to that of Samuel Paty” does not go through the left side of the hemicycle.
“You are going too far (…). You call us not just murderers but terrorists? Enough!” she wrote. in a tweet the rebel Antoine Léaument. “What an outrage to the memory of Samuel Paty”, he lashed out by his side Rachel Garrido.
