“Very bad for the vocal cords”: LFI deputies mock Dussopt’s anger in the chamber

Labor Minister Olivier Dussopt let his anger erupt during his last speech in the National Assembly on the night of Friday to Saturday.

Olivier Dussopt’s anger tonight in the National Assembly, at the end of the review of the pension reform, left no one indifferent in the chamber of the Palais Bourbon. Red with anger, the Minister of Labor addressed the rebels directly who, according to him, “have insulted him for fifteen days.”

“Nobody broke, we are here in front of you for the reform,” he launched, with a hoarse voice, arousing many reactions.

“It broke”

“Very bad for the vocal cords that”, ironically Antoine Léaument, deputy LFI. “At the end of his strength, the minister (…) creaks to end the session. They are fragile and on the verge of exploding,” Thomas Portes writes for him.

A minister under pressure

The deputy-elect of Seine-Saint-Denis had been excluded from the National Assembly last Friday due to the tumult caused in the chamber by a photo posted on Twitter, where he posed, a tricolor scarf on his chest, his foot on a ball with the effigy by Olivier Dussopt.

When Olivier Dussopt took the floor to announce that the government was applying article 47-1 of the Constitution, many Nupe deputies decided to leave the chamber, singing the song of the yellow vests. We are here. Other parliamentarians sang the Marseillaise in support of the Labor Minister, as videos posted by elected officials show.

Since the announcement of the pension reform, the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt has been under pressure. This week, the rebel Aurélien Saintoul, called him a “murderer” in front of a stunned chamber. An exit for which she apologized, but which earned her a withdrawal of part of your parliamentary allowance for one month.

An explosive climate that the Minister lives with great difficulty, according to the confidences of some of his Assembly colleagues.
