CDS accuses the Ministry of Culture of censorship and violation of the principle of equality

In a statement to which DN had access, the CDS-PP said that “the centralistic arbitrariness of the Ministry of Culture, the violation of established rules in favor of already privileged regions, to the detriment of all others, is unacceptable and undermines custody. obligation to promote social and territorial cohesion in the respective decisions”.

The CDS also denounces “acts of censorship and the violation of the principle of equality by the Ministry of Culture, in the valuation of the projects considered”.

In the same communication, the centrist party reveals an example: “The Jangada considered the candidacy ‘Female Character: Gender and Gender’. However, the Ministry of Culture excluded the company from the support it enjoyed, on the pretext that the playwrights, directors and creators are men, even though the company has 6 actors and 4 actresses and they participate in the production”

The CDS-PP also adds that “this decides that after the scandal in S. Luiz, where an actor was replaced because he was not transsexual, for the Ministry of Culture, men in the creative process will also have to stop thinking, inventing and directing in the performance what is there what to do do with the female universe and perhaps women the equivalent in the male universe”.

The CDS believes that the moral bias is “so deviant and the impulse so totalitarian that beyond rationality in decisions, democratic normality in the functioning of the Ministry of Culture is beginning to be questioned.”
