“60 self-entrepreneurs”. This is how a deputy from Les Républicains described members of his parliamentary group to BFMTV.com on Monday. In question: the pension reform, around which the right-wing elected officials are divided. The majority is in favor of the text, as are training experts such as Éric Ciotti, Olivier Marleix or Bruno Retailleau. Some doubt. Others are already announcing that they will vote against the bill.
Deputy Ian Boucard is one of them. On BFMTV, he reaffirms his position: “I will vote against pension reform,” says Belfort Territory’s elected representative. For him, this is “unfair, poorly prepared” and “poorly negotiated.”
“The government wanted to approve a reform in a month that in some countries takes several months, several years to negotiate.”
“Between 15 and 20” reluctant LR deputies
The 30-year-old is also advancing “a matter of tempo”. “We are coming out of a health crisis, we are in the middle of a war in Ukraine, we have an inflationary crisis,” he stresses, before adding: “I think this reform puts the weight of efforts on it.” that is, on those who work”.
It is up to the government, in a majority position with respect to the Palais Bourbon, to assess the weight of these deputies. “We’ll probably be between 15 and 20,” said Ian Boucard. Enough, therefore, to make the presidential field sweat cold, which must find around forty votes among the LR deputies.
