Five people were killed on Sunday, October 5 in Russian attacks in the Ukrainian regions of Zaporijia and Lviv, an attack that led the neighboring Poland to mobilize airplanes and earth systems informed the local authorities.
In Lviv, a region that has been saved more than others since the Russian invasion in 2022, four people died and six other wounds, said Governor Maksym Kozytsky on Telegram.

An affected electrical infrastructure in Zaporijia
In Zaporijia, a person died and 10 people were injured, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov. An electrical infrastructure has been remarkably affected, causing power cuts.
The current failures also took place in the Chernigiv (North) region, where companies and a residential building, as well as the electrical infrastructure has been affected, said Governor Viatcheslav Tchaous.

Poland alert
For their part, the Armed Forces of Poland announced on Sunday in X the deployment of airplanes and the defense alert on the ground to protect the country’s airspace, especially in the regions near Ukraine.
Russia has multiplied in the attacks of recent days in Ukraine, especially attacking Ukrainian energy facilities as winter approaches.
It also intensifies its attacks against the rail network. On Saturday, an attack on the Chostka station in the Soumy region left at least one dead and 30 injured, according to Ukrainian authorities.
