A guest of BFMTV-RMC, Sandrine Rousseau expresses her exasperation at King Charles III’s visit to France, scheduled for March 26-29. “We are going to have Emmanuel Macron, the republican monarch, who will receive Carlos III […] while the people in the street demonstrate” against the pension reform, laments the ecologist deputy from Paris.
The king had formalized this first visit abroad at the beginning of March. A state dinner is scheduled at the Palace of Versailles, as well as a ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe and an interview at the Elysée Palace. King Carlos III will also address senators and deputies.

“Do we realize what is happening? The incredible denial of democracy in which we are?” Sandrine Rousseau lashes out.
“Something is happening in the country, is the priority really receiving Carlos III in Versailles?” questions the elected deputy before answering: “But no, but no.”
Should the Head of State cancel this reception? “Of course,” responds Sandrine Rousseau. She asks the President of the Republic to “listen” to the French and to “discuss with this rising society.”
This Wednesday, Emmanuel Macron will speak on the 1:00 p.m. newscast on TF1 and France 2 (an interview also broadcast on BFMTV) to try to calm tensions and show his determination to put an end to the reform.
