Former President of the Republic Aníbal Cavaco Silva said on Thursday that there is no reason “to stop being concerned” about the government’s performance.
At the end of the conference “Five Decades of Democracy: What Has Changed?”, which took place at the Carmo Quartel in Lisbon, the former head of state and former prime minister was asked if he had expressed concern over the past few weeks about the current socialist government.

At this conference, where researchers Daniel Ziblatt and Sheri Berman debated threats to democracy, the book “O Essencial da Política Portuguesa” was presented.
