PCP Secretary General Paulo Raimundo claimed this Sunday that “in what is fundamental, in what is strategic”, PS, PSD, CDS, Chega and Iniciativa Liberal “share the same visions”.
Paulo Raimundo spoke at the end of a commemorative lunch on April 25 in Loures district of Lisbon, highlighting the PCP’s opposition to the pending constitutional review and accusing the PS of lending a hand to reactionary projects in this matter and to open the doors for new revisions to the Constitution”.
According to the Secretary General of the PCP, “the April project” was interrupted by a “right-wing policy, the policy of variety, the policy of musical chairs, the policy of pretending differences and illusion, but what is essentially the same”.
“In what is fundamental, what is strategic and what is in the service of the great interests of capital, PS, PSD, CDS, Chega and Iniciativa Liberal share the same visions, and differ at most in the speed and rhythm of the policies they want to impose “stated
“This is the truth, this is the big problem and challenge we face,” he added.
Paulo Raimundo pointed to the constitution as one of the objectives of the “right-wing policy” in Portugal, “implemented by successive governments, PS and PSD, with or without the CDS. A process indeed incompatible with the April revolution”
“A policy that attacks and mutilates the Constitution, and there are new attacks, with the PS lending a hand to reactionary projects and opening the doors to new revisions of the Constitution. Now, the Constitution, dear comrades and friends, needs no revision , yes, it must be implemented,” he defended.
