Frederico Pinheiro accuses António Costa and João Galamba of publicly defaming him, leading him to “consider” taking the case to court. “There is legal ground to file a criminal complaint,” he told TVI on Friday.
The former Galamba deputy accuses the infrastructure minister of lying when he says the former deputy threatened him and again denied attacking anyone in the ministry. An attempt was made to turn the victim into an aggressor,” he said.
Frederico Pinheiro also explained why he “made a lot of copies” in the days leading up to April 26, explaining that he had a flexible schedule.
“I never hid it, I always made it clear that I had a flexible schedule. I started working in government six years ago, it was during that time, not by chance, that I had my first child, and from the beginning was important for me to reconcile my work commitments with my family commitments,” he emphasized.
Galamba’s ex-deputy explained that he left early to pick up his children from school, but returned to work at the end of the day. Twice a week he also gave handball training that did not end until 11 p.m., but he often returned to the ministry anyway to continue working.
Pinheiro said he was never given “express instructions not to enter the Department of Infrastructure” and that the night he went to get the computer, the security guard reacted in a “completely normal manner” when he saw him enter the garage.
