PSD wants CPI to file complaint with MP against Galamba for “false statements”

This Wednesday, the PSD submitted a request to the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) to file a complaint with the Public Prosecution Service (MP) against the Minister of Infrastructure. According to the party, these are “false statements” made by João Galamba in this committee about the intervention of the SIS in the recovery of a lost computer.

The news was brought to the fore by The Observer, citing a source from the PSD, pointing out that a request would be made to the chairman of the committee, the socialist António Lacerda Sales, to send the MP documentation with, according to the Social Democrats, “false statements”, from the minister.

The PSD’s request comes after statements by António Mendonça Mendes, António Costa’s deputy secretary of state, who denied Galamba in the parliamentary committee on constitutional affairs by guaranteeing that he was not suggesting the intervention of SIS in the recovery of a lost computer.

“There is an obvious problem here: the three versions do not coincide. We found a gross discrepancy between what Galamba, the Secretary of State and the Prime Minister said. Public Prosecution Service,” announced the Social Democrat Paulo Moniz on Wednesday at the start of the Commission of Inquiry.
