Sporting, two-time champion, was one win away from their 18th futsal national champion title this Saturday, beating Benfica 3-2, after extra time, in the third game of the final, played at the Pavilhão João Rocha .
Zicky (minutes 22) and Pauleta (minutes 26 and 45) scored the goals for the ‘leonina’ formation, in a match that ended in a draw at half-time, while Arthur (minutes 28) and Diego Nunes (30) scored for the ‘ embodies’.
The final continues on Wednesday, in the stronghold of the ‘eagles’, where Sporting, who leads 2-1, will seal the tri if they win. In case of victory for the ‘incarnated’, who are chasing their ninth title, the fifth game will be at the home of the ‘lions’, on June 25, Sunday.
