Benfica is proclaimed roller hockey national champion for the 24th time in Alvalade

Benfica was crowned this Sunday national roller hockey champion for the 24th time, equaling FC Porto at the top of the table, beating Sporting 3-1, in the fourth game of the play-off final.

Gonçalo Pinto (minutes 10 and 22) and Lucas Ordoñez (33) scored the goals for the ‘incarnated’, who were already winning 2-1 at half-time, while Nolito (five) scored for the ‘lions’.

The ‘incarnated’ won the play-off final 3-1, as they had won the first and third games at home, both 4-2, the first in overtime, and lost the second, in João Rocha, by 6 -3.
