The Disciplinary Board (CD) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has launched an investigation into goalkeeper Vlachodimos, who comes from Benfica.
It concerns the statements of the player in the context of a documentary published by the club itself about the journey that led to the conquest of the 38th title of national champion, in which the Greek international allegedly insulted the FC Porto team.
The statements were made at the end of the first round match of the First Football League, at Estádio do Dragão, which Benfica won 1-0.
“Initiate an investigative procedure, by decision of the Professional Section, dated June 20, 2023, with the aim of determining the disciplinary relevance of the facts based on news in the media regarding player statements”refers to the release of the CD, published on the official website of the FPF.
Without mentioning the name of the player, the CD also says that the process was sent to the Portuguese professional football league’s committee of instructors last Friday, June 23.
