Always needing to win to aspire to advance and for Georgia not to lose to the Dutch, the Portuguese team took the lead through João Neves, in minute 56, which also allowed the Belgians to tie, who scored through Vertessen, in minute 65, but Tiago Dantas, converting a penalty in the 89th minute, scored the winner.

Portugal thus secured second place in the Group, with four points, and arranged a meeting with England, winner of Group C, in the quarterfinals, in a match scheduled for next Sunday, while Georgia, which drew 1-1 with the Netherlands , won first place, with five points, leaving behind the Dutch and Belgians, who finished in the last two places.
