Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, record holder of Grand Slam titles, qualified on Monday for the second round of Wimbledon, beating Argentine Pablo Cachín, in three sets.
In search of his 24th ‘major’, the current number two in the world ranking surpassed Cachín, 68th, 6-3, 6-3 and 7-6 (7-4), in two hours and 11 minutes.
‘Nole’ added his 29th consecutive win at Wimbledon and has not lost on London soil since the 2017 quarterfinals, when he left the match with the Czech Tomas Berdych.
Seven times champion in the ‘major’ of the London grass, where he won the last four editions, the Serbian will face Australian Jordan Thompson in the next round, 70th world tennis player, who ousted the American Brandon Nakashima, 55th.
