Roberto Firmino signs for Saudi Al Ahli

The Brazilian soccer player Roberto Firmino, who was released after finishing his contract with Liverpool, is a reinforcement of Al Ahli, the formation that ensured promotion to the highest category of Saudi Arabia, the Jeddah shield announced on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old striker signed a contract until 2026 and is pursuing a Saudi football career after eight seasons in England, in which he won a Champions League, a Premier League and an FA Cup with the reds.

Before Liverpool, Firmino started his career at Figueirense and then headed to Germany to defend Hoffenheim’s colors for five seasons.

For Brazil, the striker has 55 appearances and 17 goals and was in the team that won the Copa América in 2019.
