Former Dutch goalkeeper and Ajax general manager Edwin Van der Sar suffered a cerebral hemorrhage while at a restaurant in Hvar, Croatia and was admitted to an intensive care unit.
According to Telegraphthe 52-year-old former guardian was on vacation on the Croatian island and was rushed by helicopter to a hospital in Split.
The first 24 hours are considered decisive for the former goalkeeper, who excelled at Ajax, Juventus, Fulham and Manchester United, adding 130 caps for the Netherlands.

Van der Ser resigned as general manager of Ajax at the end of last season, citing “exhaustion”. “I feel the need to distance myself, I need to relax and do other things,” he said at the time.
