The president of Rio Ave guaranteed this Saturday that the Portuguese Football League club does not “depend on sales” this season to have a competitive performance, although she considers it “important for stability” to be able to transfer some assets.

The director, who is the first woman elected to lead an I Liga club in Portugal, today formally took possession of her mandate, valid until 2026, together with her management, and, if she was “excited and proud of the moment”, He said he pointed to the creation of a DSS as something that “must be put on the table quickly.”
“We have to hold a general assembly to approve the budget and the plan of activities, and at that moment we can discuss this issue of changing the statutes, as well as the issue of the SAD. The new manager of Rio Ave, who succeeds António Silva Campos, who led the club for 13 years but left for health reasons, also spoke about the new season and, despite the fact that the team is prevented from signing players until 2024, due to a FIFA sanction, he showed ambition.
