The men’s beach soccer team secured a place in the World Cup on Sunday with an 8-3 win over Denmark in Baku, Azerbaijan.
In a match in which they even began to lose, Portugal won with goals from Jordan Santos, Rui Coimbra (2), Rodrigo Pinhal, Léo Martins (3) and Bê Martins.
Lukas Frandsen, Axel Damm and Henrik Raedjaer scored for Denmark.
The Beach Soccer World Cup is scheduled for February 15-25, 2024 in the United Arab Emirates.
