Carlos Resende replaces Magnus Andersson at the helm of handball at FC Porto

The former Portuguese international Carlos Resende will replace Magnus Andersson in the technical command of FC Porto, the four-time national handball champion announced this Wednesday, anticipating by mutual agreement the breach of contract with the Swede.

FC Porto will begin the preparation work for the 2023/24 season next Tuesday, at the Dragão Arena, in Porto, with medical examinations, not counting Magnus Andersson, who guided the four-time national champion in the last five seasons.

As well as winning four championships in a row, the 57-year-old former Swedish international centre-back won two Portuguese Cups and two Super Cups with FC Porto, which he joined in 2018 after having won two EHF Cups for the Germans from Goppingen.
