A spectator on the side of the road interfered with the peloton during the Tour de France’s 15th stage this Sunday, causing a cyclist to crash and cause a domino effect behind him.
About half of the riders still in the Tour were eliminated or delayed. The crash came after favorites Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar had already passed.
Another massive crash that appeared to be caused by a fan…

This incident happened a day after a major fall due to rain-soaked ground. About 50 drivers fell to the ground and the race was stopped for 25 minutes.
In June 2021, during the Tour de France, a 31-year-old woman placed a sign right in front of the group’s head, causing dozens of cyclists to fall. The incident caused injuries to many of the athletes and even withdrawals.
The woman was sentenced by the Brest Criminal Court to pay a fine of 1200 euros for involuntary damage to third parties.
