This Saturday, FC Porto defeated Imortal, from the Portuguese championship, 4-0 in the first of two preparatory meetings of the day, which marked the full recovery of footballers Evanilson and Gabriel Veron, announced the ‘dragons’.

In a two-half 35-minute rehearsal, which took place behind closed doors at Estádio da Nora, located in Ferreiras, a parish in the Algarve municipality of Albufeira, Gonçalo Borges, Rui Monteiro and Evanilson scored twice for Sérgio Conceição’s team.

FC Porto started in the usual ‘4-4-2’ with goalkeeper Francisco Meixedo, defenders Dinis Rodrigues, João Marcelo, David Carmo and Wendell, midfielders Rui Monteiro, Vasco Sousa, Ussumane Djaló and Gonçalo Borges and forwards Fran Navarro and Veron.

The substitutes used were Fábio Cardoso, João Mendes, Bernardo Folha, Romário Baró, Marcus Abraham, Danny Namaso or Evanilson, who had been part of the clinical bulletin since the beginning of the pre-season, in the company of João Mário, still injured, and Gabriel Veron.

After the launch of 18 of the 33 footballers present in the training camp during the morning, which will run from Monday to next Wednesday in Vale do Garrão, FC Porto will face Welsh Cardiff City, from the English secondary level, from 7 p.m. in a challenge with the presence of the public in the stands of Estádio do Algarve.

The ‘dragons’ are aiming for the Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup against champions Benfica, on August 8 or 9 in Aveiro, in the first official commitment of 2023/24.
