The Danish cyclist Jonas Vingegaard won the 110th Tour of France this Sunday, after crossing the finish line, on the Champs-Élysées, together with his Jumbo-Visma teammates, at the end of the 21st and last stage won by the Belgian Jordi Meeus (BORA-hansgrohe).
Vingegaard, 26, successfully defended the ‘scepter’ he won last year and will be accompanied on the final podium by two UAE Emirates cyclists: the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates), also a two-time champion (2020 and 2021) who was second again behind the Dane, now at 07.29 minutes, and the British Adam Yates, third at 10.56 minutes.
The 21st and last stage, a connection of 115.1 kilometers between Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and the Champs-Élysées, in Paris, was won by Meeus, who crossed the finish line with a time of 02:56.13 hours, ahead of his compatriot Jasper Philipsen Bel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) and the Dutchman Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco AlUla), respectively second and third.
