The Portuguese Nuno Moreira won the +84 kg test of the XI edition of the Ibero-American karate competition, which ended this Sunday with eight medals for Portugal, in total, between absolute and sub-21.
Moreira won the event in absolute terms in a tournament in which she had already won bronze in the first edition, 19 years ago, with Léa Barros also winning the under-21 kumite -55 kg event.
For the rest, silver for Bernardo Fernandes in -75 kg, having achieved a bronze in the under-21 competition, and bronzes also in kumite for José Miranda (-84 kg) and Rafael Alves (-67 kg).
Artur Neto and Maísa Caridade, this time twice, in senior and under-21, closed the podiums of the respective kata competitions, in a competition that precedes the Karate World Cup, scheduled for October in Hungary.
